That’s why we collaborate with organizations doing everything from building community to sparking creativity. Whether it’s supporting social causes, showcasing local talent, or giving New Yorkers something to smile about, we’re proud to use our platform in a meaningful way. Street Art for Mankind
We’ve been honored to support Street Art for Mankind, an organization that uses public art as a tool for social change. In 2024, we unveiled a larger than life mural at our W 29th Street facility that was curated by Street Art for Mankind. Artist Millo created the stunning piece of art in less than 10 days, and it was unveiled for Climate Change Week. The mural was a part of a global series promoting climate action and healthy urban ecosystems. It’s big, it’s bold, and it’s a beautiful reminder of the world we’re all trying to protect.
Rock the Vote
We believe every New Yorker deserves a voice—and a vote. That’s why we partnered with Rock the Vote, the nonpartisan nonprofit that’s been empowering young people to make their voices heard for over three decades, during the important 2024 election year. Together, we helped spread the word about registration deadlines, early voting, updating voter registration if someone had recently moved, and how to make a plan to vote.
New York Comedy Festival x BrandUp Comedy
We’re big fans of stand-up, and if you’ve ever seen our billboards you know we like bringing humor to storage spaces. That’s why we partnered with the New York Comedy Festival and BrandUp Comedy in 2024 to present Manhattan Mini Sets, a one-of-a-kind stand-up show staged inside actual Manhattan Mini Storage units.
The series brought together emerging comedians and enthusiastic audiences for intimate, hilarious performances in some of the most unexpectedly perfect venues in the city: our storage units. It was weird, it was wonderful, and it reminded us that creativity in NYC will always find a place—even if that place has doors with disc locks and concrete floors. Giving Back to Our City
