Manhattan Mini Storage Climate Change Murals
Bold murals and a shared commitment to NYC’s future.
At Manhattan Mini Storage, New York City isn’t just where we do business; it’s our home. That’s why we partner with Street Art for Mankind (SAM) to bring large-scale, socially driven public art to our buildings in Manhattan. Together, we’re turning blank walls into powerful canvases for climate awareness and community connection.
Our three murals — located in Hudson Yards and Chelsea — were created by internationally renowned artists and unveiled for Climate Week NYC. Each larger-than-life piece of art was created to sparkconversation, inspire action, and reflect our belief that a better, more sustainable future starts right here in our city.
Partnering with Street Art for Mankind
Street Art for Mankind brings together world-class muralists to raise awareness and funding for environmental and humanitarian causes. Their curation gives local communities a voice and transforms public spaces into opportunities for learning and reflection.
For Manhattan Mini Storage, the partnership is a natural fit. We share a commitment to sustainability, community impact, and keeping NYC vibrant for generations to come.
“A company rooted in New York, we understand the importance of standing up for our city’s future,” said Sarah Little, Senior Vice President of Marketing at Manhattan Mini Storage. “We believe in the power of art to inspire and unite people around critical issues like climate change. Partnering with Street Art for Mankind allows us to contribute to an important conversation while enhancing the vibrancy of our community.”
“Urban Ecosystem Restoration” by Millo

Manhattan Mini Storage — 541 W 29th St, Hudson Yards Completed September 2024
Standing 13 stories tall, Millo’s striking mural explores the fragile relationship between people and nature. Titled “Urban Ecosystem Restoration,” it depicts one of the artist’s signature characters reclaiming space in a concrete landscape, serving as a reminder of our responsibility to protect biodiversity, even in the densest cities.
The piece anchors the Hudson Yards skyline with a message of hope, urging New Yorkers to imagine a greener, more balanced urban future.
“Beacons” by Onur

Manhattan Mini Storage — 510-520 W 21st St, Chelsea | Visible from the High Line Completed Fall 2025
Swiss artist Onur brings his signature impressionistic flare to this luminous mural celebrating the next generation of climate leaders. “Beacons” features a young figure hiking through a landscape at dusk, lantern raised against a field of red poppies — a powerful symbol of memory, resilience, and determination.
The artwork honors young changemakers in New York and across the world who are reshaping our relationship with the planet one bold idea at a time.

"Hydropolis" by Vesod

Manhattan Mini Storage — 531-539 W 21st St, Chelsea | Visible from the High Line Completed Fall 2025
Italian muralist Vesod transforms the north Chelsea façade into a surreal tribute to the importance of water in all its forms. “Hydropolis” depicts both blue water and the often overlooked “green water” stored in soil and vegetation — both essential to our ecosystems, food systems, and climate stability.
Set against a stylized NYC backdrop, the mural calls attention to the full water cycle and the urgency of protecting it in the face of floods, droughts, and natural disaster.
Themes: water conservation, climate protection, ecological balance
